Dr Awais Butt, a regular medical officer at Services Hospital, Lahore, undertook an research visit at LKC School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, supported by the NIHR 132960.

“I had limited understanding of the statistical analysis work, which I was able to improve”.

During my visit I got a chance to work with research fellows working on the data from the GHRU on Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease, and this supported and improved my understanding of the research especially the statistical analysis, cleaning of data and interpreting the data.

“I feel that I can look at data with a greater understanding now”.

The objectives of the placement were achieved and I had the opportunity to discuss my data in detail with the team, and we agreed on topics and article that could follow this current paper.
