Thilak Wanasinghe is researcher associated with the Global Health Research Unit-South Asia, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He comes from a social science background and holds an Honors degree in Mass Communication from the University of Kelaniya. He also is experienced in content development for mass media and social media with a special interest in Health Communication. Under the GHRU he has been involved in creating audio visual content used for NCD prevention.
Thilak is currently pursuing his PhD in Health Communication at the University of Kelaniya. He hopes to critically evaluate Health related content on social media aimed at preventing Non-communicable Disease in Sri Lanka.
