Dr. Vindya Prabuddhi Chandika Rajakaruna is enrolled in the Ph.D. programme at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
Dr. Vindya has graduated as an MBBS doctor from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo in 2007 and finished her internship by 2009 at the District General Hospital, Negambo and acquired Sri Lanka Medical Council Registration as a qualified medical doctor. She completed her Masters in Public Health Epidemiology at the University of Kelaniya. She has also done Postgraduate Diploma in Health Development, Diploma in Hospital Administration and Certificate Training of Higher Education.
She has worked as a Lecturer in Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine and gained experience as a lecturer, a coordinator, and developed skills in lecturing, curriculum development, student evaluation, research, and research supervising. She has held the positions like the Secretary of Curriculum development and evaluation committee, member of Medical Education unit and member of the research council of Faculty of Medicine, South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine.
Currently, she is working as the Medical Doctor in the surveillance project of the GHRU since October 2018. She is eager to do future research with an interest in the improvement of community health.
